At Outside Insights, our goal is to create memorable experiences through guided hiking in the Columbia Mountains. Our hikes connect you with the landscape and along the way we will share stories about the plants, animals, geology and cultural history of this spectacular region of Canada.
Sometimes referred to as the Canadian Alps, the Columbia Mountains afford great variety: from glacially carved valleys to the alpine where glaciers are still sculpting the landscape; wildflower meadows overflowing with color; clear, cascading mountain streams; old growth, interior rain forests and sometimes the treat of seeing wildlife.
We offer summer guided hikes both in and out of the National Parks. Revelstoke is our base and we intimately know the gems that Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Park have to offer the curious explorer. We also offer interpretive railway history tours, where you can learn the great story of the railway connecting east with west through the rugged Selkirk Mountains.
Come explore, discover, connect and share the passion about this unique place!
